God’s Pearl
Cain had faith in God, for he brought Him an offering, but his faith was dead, because it was without works. Just as Abraham offered Isaac to the Lord, so Abel offered God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain and was justified by works. By what works? By the sacrifice. (Heb.11:4) In the New Covenant Jesus has already done the good work for us and offered Himself without spot to God. By His one sacrifice He has perfected us forever. (Heb.10:14)
